Has endured an injury plagued career but won a Grade 2 as a juvenile. Scored on his comeback in January but a breathing problem was diagnosed when disappointing next time. Given a break since and worth monitoring the market for additional clues.

Jumped well to make all over 2m4f at Musselburgh although the opposition was weak. Stayed well on the Flat and should have an uncontested lead. Stable in form and he could prove up to the task.

Off since puling up in a valuable race last summer. Has 3-5 record around here but he is meeting some progressive rivals with a fitness edge this time.

Off the mark in a poor race at Warwick but her two prior runs over hurdles represent much stronger form. Ran as though something amiss last time and potentially well treated if back to her best.

Has 6lb in hand of his revised mark having won with plenty in hand on handicap debut last week. Relished the quicker surface and clearly the one to beat.

Tipperary maiden hurdle winner had been in good form prior to his latest outing. Has been given a break since and there may be a few in this who are better treated.

Forecasts

Musical Slave (4/5), Definitelyanoscar (5/1), Landsman (6/1), Guido Reni (7/1), Beltor (16/1), Peruvien Bleu (16/1)

Verdict

MUSICAL SLAVE landed a gamble with plenty to spare last week and looks the one to follow given he won't be as well-handicapped for a while. Definitelyanoscar also looks well treated on her second to Diamond Gait, but she cannot be said to have as much in hand of her mark as the selection. Landsman could expose a few shortcomings in his rivals by pressing on from the front and makes more appeal than Beltor who has had his share of problems.
  1. Musical Slave
  2. Definitelyanoscar
  3. Landsman
