Useful if unpredictable staying chaser, not disgraced in an Open point-to-point at Barbury last month given he was coming back off an absence. This test should suit and he looks a player.
Classy staying chaser at best, trip last time far too short and this looks much more suitable. Should be fitter after a couple of outings as well and is capable of throwing down a challenge.
Exposed as moderate and well beaten on latest outing after an absence. Others look much more persuasive.
Moderate chaser that has no realistic chance at the weights today, and best he can possibly be playing for is fourth.
High-class chaser at best, but not seen out for two years now and is coming back off injury. Would pick these up at his best but question is how much ability remains after such a long time away.
Forecasts
Sausalito Sunrise (1/1), Double Ross (11/8), Kelvingrove (6/1), Expanding Universe (33/1), Irish Thistle (50/1)
Sausalito Sunrise will probably win this if he's fit, but a two year absence rings a few alarm bells and perhaps DOUBLE ROSS can take advantage. He couldn't get involved over a shorter trip at Leicester but was staying on well at the business end, and this looks more his thing. Kelvingrove will be on hand to pick up the pieces if the other pair fail to fire.
- Double Ross
- Sausalito Sunrise
- Kelvingrove
