Made the frame over 3m at Ayr (soft) in January, and is still fairly low mileage (0-6 over hurdles). However, doesn't quite look like a winner waiting to happen; needs more.

Pertemps Hurdle winner at Cheltenham in 2015; back in form of late from a much reduced handicap mark; 4lb higher than when beating the well backed Triangle Rock by a head at Musselburgh (3m, good) 17-days ago.

Has knocked at the door from similar marks on heavy ground at Ayr (2m3f+ to 2m5f+) earlier in the season and can be excused a more modest run latest (didn't appear to stay 3m); not without a chance.

Off the mark at the 15th attempt when beating Amberose by 2¾L at Ayr (2m5f, good to soft) in January; 4lb higher in the weights; slight concern that her trainer isn't in such solid form at present.

Cost £28,000 out of the Irish PTP scene; his initial progress over hurdles was slow, but he grasped the nettle with a solid staying effort at Ayr (2m5f+, soft) in February; badly hampered and lost all chance early over C&D latest.

6lb higher than when winning a modest race over C&D (good to soft) in December, but did run well off this mark until falling at the final flight next time; work to do with Arctic Road based upon Ayr form.

Trapper Peak (9/4), Sunny Destination (11/4), Lastin' Memories (3/1), Northern Girl (7/2), Arctic Road (4/1), Call The Cops (6/1), Shtan On (11/1)

Verdict

A race which features no fewer than three recent winners, Trapper Peak, Call The Cops and Northern Girl . Of that trio the hat-trick seeking Stef Keniry-trained 10yo is preferred despite some reservations as to exactly what he has achieved in winning modest races at Sedgefield and Catterick. Therefore, with a proven liking for deep conditions a chance is taken on the George Bewley-trained SUNNY DESTINATION. Furthermore, you'd be advised to simply draw a thick black line through the run of Arctic Road over C&D recently (badly hampered early), so he's another to figure on any short-list of potential winners.

  2. Arctic Road
