Appreciated the return to this trip last time at Ludlow and the first two have upheld the form since. This looks a lot easier and he sets the standard.
From family of very smart 2m chaser Tanks For That. Fell at the last when in front in an Irish point-to-point on debut last May. Showed plenty of promise in latest bumper and he has had wind surgery ahead of this hurdling debut.

Beaten 17L when third in a better race here last time. Suspicion he wants further or more positive tactics, but has an each-way chance on this occasion.
Made all under a canny ride from Brian Hughes to land a modest Kelso bumper. Not at all highly tried on hurdling debut and one to note in the market.

A €50,000 yearling made a winning debut for Ralph Beckett back in August 2017. Shaped better than it looks here last time when he was still in need of the run. The first two are above-average and there is nothing of that quality here.

Bumper winner and placed on both hurdles starts so far including over an extended 1m7f at Leicester (good). Previously placed on good-to-firm over the same C&D and interesting to see how she fares on softer ground.

Finished alone when winning a point-to-point at the fourth attempt. Tailed-off on rules debut and doubtful he is going to be good enough.

Winner of a 2m Class 6 AW handicap off a mark of 55 before joining this yard. Highly tried and too keen on hurdling debut but still hard to see him delivering here.
Some ability over middle distances on the Flat for George Baker and achieved a rating in the 70s. No match for another Skelton horse at Ludlow on hurdling debut, but jumped and travelled well with the third a long way back. Stable 3-9 here.
Fairly useful on the Flat when with Michael Bell (won off a mark of 74); stayed 1m4f. Hasn't really promised to live up to his price tag (27,000 guineas) on either hurdles start and he needs to settle better.

Handled soft ground on the Flat so last run hard to excuse following a more promising effort the previous month. Others have more promising profiles.

Forecasts

Bbold (7/4), Enlighten (7/2), Cardigan Bay (4/1), Lucky Lover Boy (13/2), Neverbeen To Paris (16/1), Clondaw Storm (18/1), Carolines Charm (25/1), Playa Blanca (33/1), Duration (66/1), Power Surge (100/1), Dina Maker (100/1)

Verdict

Enlighten is interesting on his hurdling debut having won a bumper last time and the market will be informative as to how well he has schooled over hurdles. Bbold has the best piece of form having finished third at Ludlow in a race that is working out well, but LUCKY LOVER BOY ran a race full of promise on his hurdling debut and he may have a bit more speed under the hood than his rival.
  1. Lucky Lover Boy
  2. Bbold
  3. Enlighten
