Annie Bonny43
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-12| J: Mitchell Bastyan(5)| T: Evan Williams| OR:  103
4/1
Six-race rules maiden (3m PTP winner); ran reasonably in the context of this race on her penultimate start (2m, Chepstow) when caught a fraction on the back foot as the race developed; didn't quite stay an extended 2m5f trip latest; chance.
2
Horse silk
Lady Kyriah17
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-12| J: Sean Quinlan| T: P A Kirby| OR:  103
14/1
Bought for 10,000gns in October 2018 as a three-time winner on the Flat in France; hasn't quite managed to repeat the promise of her opening hurdles effort (fell) in either subsequent start, admittedly was outclassed by the winner at Newcastle.

Horse silk
Bazarov14
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-5| J: Miss Brodie Hampson(5)| T: A Watson| OR:  96| BF
1/2
11-race maiden under rules in Ireland; showed improved form when sticking on to finish second to Chosen Hour at Limerick (2m5f, soft) in December; beaten 4/6f when a 6L runner up on stable debut at Catterick (2m3f+) last month.
4
Horse silk
Rococo Stylep62
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-3| J: Nick Scholfield| T: S Gollings| OR:  94
12/1
Southwell bumper winner (good) on debut in September 2017; perfectly fair to say that she's proved bitterly disappointing since (mainly at 2m4f over hurdles); handicap mark on the slide; drop back in trip a positive move.
5
Horse silk
Outback Blue9
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-10| J: Jonathon Bewley(3)| T: G Bewley| OR:  87
11/1
0-11 over hurdles and soon beaten in a Class 4 handicap over an extended 2m3f+ here nine days ago; difficult to enthuse over on ground which is probably far softer than ideal.
6
Horse silk
Duba Plains19
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-0| J: Joe Williamson(7)| T: V Thompson| OR:  73
125/1
Longstanding Flat maiden for Mick Channon (0-14); hasn't looked at all convincing in three starts over hurdles for Embleton-based trainer Victor Thompson; makes no appeal whatsoever on handicap debut.

Forecasts

Bazarov (1/2), Annie Bonny (4/1), Outback Blue (11/1), Rococo Style (12/1), Lady Kyria (14/1), Duba Plains (125/1)

Verdict

Evan Williams has a respectable Sedgefield strike-rate (21%) so the six-race rules maiden Annie Bonny must enter the reckoning in a very winnable-looking contest. She is one of a number of runners who could prove suited by dropping back in trip, with that list also including the disappointing Rococo Style and the former Irish racer BAZAROV. Unable to justify strong market support on debut for Archie Watson at Catterick recently, the Brodie Hampson-ridden 6yo didn't appear to see out that extended 2m3f trip quite as well as the winner Trapper Peak (Stef Keniry), so is worthy of one final chance back at 2m this afternoon.
  1. Bazarov
