Bought for £295,000 after winning an Irish point-to-point in December. Made favourite twice but withdrawn in both races recently. Clearly held in very high regard and would look no further here.
Full-brother to Albert Bartlett contender Lisnagar Oscat cost €110,000 in 2017. Clearly an interesting sort and although ne may want further he's worth watching here.

Son of Kayf Tara who shaped well despite losing a shoe when 1½L second of 15 to Drunken Pirate in bumper at Newbury on debut. Further positive effort when second over C&D here since and sets a decent standard on that.
Son of Kapgarde purchased for €20,000 as a yearling. Well beaten eighth of 11 on debut at Exeter suggested he's one for further down the road.

Won lone point-to-point as a well-backed favourite last November. Joined respected team since so no surprise if he's ready to do himself justice here.

Well bred son of Kingsalsa bought for £72,000 after winning second point-to-point late last year. Hard to gauge on debut under Rules so perhaps market will be the best guide.

No show in two such contests so far including last of 11 at Ludlow latest. Headgear does little to add enthusiasm.

Newcomer by Black Sam Bellamy a half-sister to 2m3f hurdle winner Fair To Middling; dam unplaced 1m-1m2f Flat/2m-2m4f hurdles. Watching brief only.

1st foal; dam unraced half-sister to Knight In Purple winner of a NHF race and seven hurdles, and second in Swinton Handicap Hurdle. Yard in form but not prolific in bumpers.

Jaytee
Age: 4|  Weight: 10-8| J: T J O'Brien| T: Ian Williams
50/1
Newcomer by Schiaperelli. Second foal; dam placed in 2m hurdles and 3m chase, out of winning pointer. Best watched here.

Horse silk
50/1
Newcomer by Malinas out of a dam placed in bumpers. Suspect he will need more time and this race well above average.

Forecasts

Chantry House (8/13), Edwardstone (3/1), Shan Blue (6/1), Story Of Friends (9/1), Don't Shout (12/1), Little Ginge (20/1), Llandinabo Lad (50/1), Jaytee (50/1), Dash Of Blue (50/1), Light Of Athena (100/1), Rosierita (100/1)

Verdict

CHANTRY HOUSE has twice been declared and heavily backed only to be withdrawn on both occasions. The cat is somewhat out of the bag now although given his lofty price tag he was never likely to be a big price on debut. Edwardstone sets a fair standard after two seconds and will find any chinks in the selection's armour. Shan Blue is another ex-point winner worthy of respect.
  1. Chantry House
  2. Edwardstone
  3. Shan Blue
