Won an Irish point-to-point on his fourth start, last spring. Wetherby second in January hinted ta promise but then beaten out of sight at Ludlow in a maiden. Opening mark looks plenty high enough.

Looked a horse to follow when an easy winner at Southwell back in 2017 but it's all gone west since then. At least finished last time after two pulled-ups but ended up a remote eighth nevertheless.

Improved effort on reappearance over C&D in November, but heavy ground perhaps an excuse when he flopped over 2m7f on handicap debut. Bare 2m on good latest saw him little better. Perhaps this his trip.

Completed a Southwell hat-trick (spread out over 15 months) when gamely winning on seasonal return there in December. Third latest at Huntingdon off this mark showed he remains competitive so merits respect.

Improved effort at Worcester last June when second although short of that level last month when well beaten at Market Rasen. May have needed that race so could fare better now but others more compelling.

Second at Lingfield two starts back followed by one-paced fourth at Ffos Las. Handicapper keeps on assisting him and looks to be at a mark where he can make the frame but more needed to seriously contend.

Stepped up on handicap debut when an encouraging and staying on fourth of 14 beaten 7L over 2m3f at Wetherby. Longer trip here looks sure to bring further progress so expecting a bold bid now.

Placed in two novice hurdles late last year before shade disappointing fifth on handicap debut. Had a wind-op since then and almost certainly worth another chance given he hails from highly respected yard.

Getting the hang of things lately in novice races at Fontwell from 2m1½f-2m3f so perhaps excellent handicap short-head second at Wincanton shouldn't have been a surprise. 2lb higher here but has excellent claims.

Looks to be learning slowly over hurdles and after a fair third on handicap debut she finished midfield latest at Chepstow. More needed here if she's to make the frame.

Maiden of eight races including chases ran a good race when second here over 2m3f only beaten a neck. Pulled-up since obviously concern but bounce back to that level surely see him involved.

Has offered little since winning off an 11lb higher mark in the spring of 2017 as a 66-1 chance at Uttoxeter. Little encouragement shown in last two starts and readily opposed.

No Getaway (5/2), Crossley Tender (9/2), Imperial Nemesis (6/1), Espoir De Loire (13/2), Marten (7/1), Max Do Brazil (10/1), Zamoyski (12/1), Tikk Tock Boom (16/1), On Raglan Road (16/1), Est Illic (20/1), Kestrel Valley (20/1), Classic Tune (25/1), Sinakar (33/1)

Verdict

NO GETAWAY made a most promising start in handicaps and as he's bred for stamina this longer trip can unlock further potential and see him gain a first win over hurdles. Also promising first time handicapping was Crossley Tender who rates a leading candidate with Espoir De Loire needing more but respected after a wind-op.
  1. No Getaway
  2. Crossley Tender
  3. Espoir De Loire
