Maiden hurdle winner over C&D in December and was sent off 6-4f on chase bow at Fairyhouse (2m, good) following month. Pulled up quickly there and possible all was not well. Can bounce back after short break.
Not spotted since showing fairly useful form over jumps in France in 2015/16, winning over both hurdles and fences. Long absence to overcome on debut for Willie Mullins but shouldn't want for fitness.
Nothing show in hurdles career and two starts over fences since returning from a long layoff to merit suggestion a win is looming, easily overlooked for now.
Dual purpose performer, scored in a Kilbeggan handicap hurdle (2m, good) last summer off a mark of 103. Didn't impress with his jumping at the same track on chase bow in the autumn and needs plenty more now.
Poor in maiden hurdles but the mare was much-improved for switch to handicap when runner-up at Fairyhouse (2m4f, soft) in February 2018. Off since, tongue-tie is added for chase bow and worth a check in the betting.
Absent for three years following Kilbeggan maiden hurdle success in 2015, though finished credible third on chase introduction at Galway (2m2f, soft) in September. Well held in December at Punchestown (2m, good) however and bit more called for.
Fairyhouse maiden hurdle winner over this trip in November, has acquitted himself well enough in handicaps since. Could be more to come now going over fences.
Maiden hurdle scorer here in 2015 but career since been blighted by absences. Three hurdles runs this winter suggest ability remains, but will need to improve on 2016 efforts in this sphere.
Consistent 128-rated handicapper over hurdles through 2018 (without winning), applied himself well when third in Thurles beginners' chase won by Ex Patriot last month in similar conditions and can offer more.
Heavy-ground maiden hurdle winner at Limerick a year ago, fairly consistent without adding to tally over timber since and now switches to chasing.
Lightly-raced five-year-old, ran well enough over C&D in novice hurdling company here recently (fifth in big field) and now turns attention to chasing.
Forecasts
Chacun Pour Soi (4/9), Stooshie (7/2), Portmore Lough (10/1), At Your Ease (14/1), Russian Bill (14/1), Misty Hollow (25/1), Rock Road (25/1), The Granson (33/1), King Alex (50/1), Golden Poet (66/1), Darcy Mcgees (100/1)
This doesn't appear the deepest event of its type and the long-absent French import Chacun Pour Soi commands plenty respect starting out life for Willie Mullins in the Ricci silks. Those colours aren't farming winners as once was the case however and it might pay to side with the fitness of STOOSHIE for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell. He was a good third at Thurles on his chasing bow last month and should take a step forward now. At Your Ease is surely better than his Fairyhouse effort while Misty Hollow and Rock Road are worth checking in the betting.
- Stooshie
