Pair of wins last summer after leaving Paul Nicholls, though has become tough to predict now. Won over this trip at Ludlow (good) in January after market principles in five-runner affair crashed out. Pulled up either side and blinkers added now.
Decent strike rate over fences (5-15) with latest success at Stratford in November from just a pound lower mark. Unconvincing in three starts since, with jumping often undermining his chances.
Mare has gained both British wins here (new headgear in play both times), bouncing back from some tame efforts to score over C&D last month with plenty in hand it seemed (first-time tongue tie, retained). Ahead of her mark if in a similar mood.
Stayed on strongly to gain sixth career win over fences at Kempton (2m4½f, good) in November. Hasn't threatened in either start since, was well behind Cobra De Mai at Stratford earlier in the term.

Forecasts
Cobra De Mai (11/10), Got Away (6/4), Midnight Chill (3/1), Cave Top (7/2), More Buck's (8/1), Deauville Dancer (12/1)
Got Away is the only mare in the contest and she is 2-2 at this venue, her only wins in seven attempts since arriving from France in 2017. She had something in hand last time here and, if the headgear has her mind focused once more, she's got clear claims being 1lb ahead of the assessor. MIDNIGHT CHILL is the more consistent option off bottom-weight for Dan Skelton. He hasn't been out of the first two in four starts since a summer wind operation and, with his mark unchanged since a Taunton second, is worth a try upped in distance with in-form Gavin Sheehan up. The others all have questions against them, with perhaps Cobra De Mai able to challenge if his jumping holds up.
