Coral Double Your Cheltenham Winnings First Race Every Day Maiden

Off time: 19:15 | Winning time: 1m 41.12s

(8)

Coolest King⁷⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: Z Timar⁽⁵⁾| T: L Comer

33/1

66/1; lost action when pulled up on belated debut and impossible to fancy with inexperienced claimer aboard.

Form: P-

(1)

Mutadaawel^h1

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: D W O'Connor⁽⁵⁾| T: A McCann

16/1

Sales price dropped to £2,800 last summer. Dam won over 6f. Hooded for belated debut.

Form:

(6)

Razoul²⁹⁹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-7| J: Colin Keane| T: R P Cody

4/7

Has presumably been difficult to keep sound but showed promise on both runs when trained by Mick Halford. Has now moved yards and another 10 months absence to overcome but form stands up in this modest company.

Form: 2/6-

(4)

Across The Road³⁷⁸

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: Ross Coakley⁽³⁾| T: V C Ward

50/1

Having third run in a short space of time and needs dramatic improvement to play a part in the finish of evidence to date.

Form: 00-

(5)

Broadway Queen^t1

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: Gary Carroll| T: L Comer

33/1

Second foal, dam won over 7f in France. Tongue tie on belated debut. Market should reveal any confidence.

Form:

(2)

Cautious Approach¹⁶⁰

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: Ronan Whelan| T: R O'Brien| OR: 66

4/1

Finished her three-year-old career with a staying on second of 18 in 1m maiden last September. Would ideally want a slightly longer trip but a repeat of that form has to put her in the picture in this weak looking contest.

Form: 0/482-

(3)

Crystal Pool²¹

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: M A Gallagher| T: P Martin

50/1

Well beaten at 66/1 on recent 1m2f debut here and will have to step up considerably to take a hand.

Form: 0

(9)

Ingelara^t⁴²

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: Hugh Horgan⁽¹⁰⁾| T: J P O'Brien

33/1

Well behind in a trio of maidens and hard to fancy on that. Ridden again by inexperienced claimer.

Form: 00-9

(7)

Smile Ahead

Age: 4| Weight: 9-2| J: Declan McDonogh| T: D K Weld

3/1

Fourth foal. Sister to Listed winner Making Light. Dam won over 1m4f. Belated debut but makes plenty of appeal on paper and market should prove informative.

Forecasts

Razoul (4/7), Smile Ahead (3/1), Cautious Approach (4/1), Mutadaawel (16/1), Coolest King (33/1), Ingelara (33/1), Broadway Queen (33/1), Crystal Pool (50/1), Across The Road (50/1)

Few can seriously be fancied and while Razoul and Cautious Approach have the best form on offer, both come here off a break and aren't bombproof, and if the newcomer SMILE AHEAD has any of the ability of her brother she can get off the mark at the first attempt.
