Well bred Flemensfirth gelding well backed but looked beaten on debut until falling in a bumper. Has potential but best watched on hurdles bow.

Better effort in second bumper although only sixth of seven nonetheless at Bangor. Not achieved enough to recommend more than a watching brief.

Son of Mahler, unimpressive in two outings in the point-to-point sphere last spring and 200/1 when 13th of 14 on Rules bow last month.

Stepped up on Exeter hurdling bow when second of eight at Kempton in March. Still green and reappearance at Chepstow (2m, good) was a letdown when favourite. Fourth here latest more like it and respected with longer trip to suit.

Represents powerful connections, bought for E100,000 at sales last year but a let down when fifth in a May bumper at Southwell. Since had a wind-op and plenty of time so expecting a vastly improved performance here.

Third in two of his three point-to-points show some ability but suspect one for further down the line now switched to Rules racing.

An expensive purchase with a solid pedigree and represents a high profile yard. Fair level shown in three novice hurdles culminating in a fifth of 16 at Chepstow latest. More needed to win but hurdles experience a help and bold bid expected.

Winner of a British point-to-point on debut, and made a promising start when the only one to lay a glove on Getaway Trump at Plumpton on Rules bow. Disappointed last time, but too early to write him off given debut promise.

Won first two flat races for this yard before an excellent fourth in the Cesarewitch earning a 93-rating. Second in 2m3½f Carlisle novice on hurdles bow and sure to improve for experience. Excellent claims here.

Maiden point-to-pointer fell in five of last six races with a second somewhere in between. Smaller obstacles here may help but suspect this will be too sharp for him.
