Looked like a smart prospect when winning the Railway Stakes at the Curragh in June and has run well in a number of Group 2 races since. Trainer saddled the first three home in this contest last season.
Galileo colt, a full brother to several winners including Group 1 winner Rip Van Winkle. Off the mark on second start at Gowran Park when last seen in October. Trainer responsible for the first three home in this event last season.
Kodiac colt half-brother to Kempton specialist Magic Mirror. Comes here on the back of a Listed win in France last month and further improvement would not surprise.
C&D winner on sole start over the combination in January beating seven rivals 2¾L. Beaten on latest start over 7f here last month and looks up against it here.
Colt by Footstepsinthesand out of a Danehill mare. Half-brother to some decent sorts, not beaten all that far on debut at Limerick in October before winning a Leopardstown maiden over 7f later in the month. Will need to improve to figure.
Win and a place over C&D, success coming in a three-year-old maiden in January. A winner over 7f on his latest start here last month but this is much tougher.
Sets a high bar following his third of 11 beaten 1L adrift of Magna Grecia in the Group 1 Futurity Stakes at Doncaster in October. Trainer landed the first three home in this race last season.
Forecasts
Western Australia (6/4), Playa Del Puente (11/4), Barys (4/1), Van Beethoven (6/1), Albuquerque (10/1), Colfer Me (12/1), Numerian (20/1), Manjeer (33/1)
Saddling the first three home in this contest last season, Aidan O'Brien holds a strong hand to repeat the feat here with WESTERN AUSTRALIA, Van Beethoven and Albuquerque. Two of the three face stiff competition, however, from the Archie Watson-trained Barys and C&D winner Playa Del Puente.
