Horse A-Z
€11,000 yearling. Fourth foal. Brother to 6f 2yo winner Arranger, half-brother to 6f 2yo winner Cardmaster. Dam unraced half-sister to Group-placed 7f 2yo winner Smart Coco out of US 1m winner. Yard not noted for debut winners, so one to watch.
Won an Irish point at the fourth attempt in October and changed hands for £30,000 shortly after. Half-brother to winners Star Foot (2m-2m2f hurdle) and 7f-1m6f Flat winner Medieval Bishop. In good hands and should be capable of a decent debut.
Outperformed an SP of 22-1 on debut in Ireland (good to firm) last September, when 3½L second. Changed hands for £40,000 in November and looks to have decent claims on his stable debut.

12L winner of his only Irish point in October, and was bought for £22,000 a month later. Second foal, brother to a point winner, out of a 3m hurdle winner. Stable 15% in bumpers over last five seasons. Could be a big player on debut.
25-1 but ran well for a long way on his debut at Market Rasen last May. Can build on that today, but may have to be content with minor honours.

Showed some promise on debut, when leading for a significant length of time before tiring to be 9¼L third at Fakenham last month. Should come on for that and be more competitive here.

Forecasts

Thegallantway (6/5), Stony Stream (5/2), Onthefrontfoot (9/2), Far Bihoue (15/2), Who's The Guv'nor (16/1), Chesney Brown (33/1), Big Stuart (80/1)

Verdict

Onthefrontfoot represents a stable that has usually done better in bumpers than its one win this season, but this Irish point winner still merits respect on his rules debut. Who's The Guvnor and, to a greater extent Far Bihoue look likely to be in the hunt for prize money, while Stony Stream looks the one to beat on public form so far. However, THEGALLANTWAY represents a yard that does well in bumpers and this wide margin Irish point winner might provide the answer.
