Alflora gelding whose dam won two point-to-points. Beaten favourite in what has turned out to be a bad race at Ffos Las. However, it would not have helped being held up in a slowly run race on heavy ground.

Beaten favourite on both starts so plenty to prove. Hood fitted to help him settle better, but he carries plenty of risk until that is proven to work. Stable are a lower than expected 2-20 with bumper runners here since 2014.
First foal of a well-related dam who was acquired by her owner for €25,000. Stable have a modest strike rate in bumpers.

Stowaway gelding cost connections €26,000 at the sales last year. Dam an unraced half-sister to the classy Dix Villez. Tailed off on Bangor debut when running as though something was amiss.
Showed some ability in a hot race on debut when beaten 49L but still finishing 17L ahead of Alph. Stable 3-19 in bumpers this season and one of the leading contenders in a race lacking depth.
Unraced gelded son of Aqlaam is a half-brother to dual Flat and multiple hurdles winner Discoteca. Plenty to like about his debut here and the longer trip can only help.
Cheap purchase beaten 19L on Sedgefield debut and represents a yard with a 0-14 record in bumpers since 2014.

Crosspeace mare out of a dam who won a bumper for this yard. Stable 2-2 in bumpers since 2014 so one to track in the market.

Comes from a family of winners and having gone close on debut he stepped up again to finish fourth in Listed company at Cheltenham. Sets the standard on that form and stable have won this previously.

Placed in two 1m5½f bumpers here and went even closer upped to 2m latest when a neck second at Hereford. This likely a stronger contest but nevertheless has solid form and an experience edge so merits respect.
€5,000 son of Enrique out of a dam who was a maiden. Stable just 2-56 in bumpers over past five years.

Forecasts

Fuseau (11/10), Logan Rocks (9/4), Volunteer (8/1), Alph (14/1), Chat To Charlie (16/1), Namib Dancer (33/1), Ifyoucanseemenow (33/1), Maxi Jazz (33/1), A Book Of Intrigue (40/1), Sei Bella (40/1), Betty Petch (150/1)

Verdict

Alph will predictably have his supporters but having disappointed twice it looks safer to side with FUSEAU who was fourth in Listed company on New Years Day and receives a handy allowance. Namib Dancer and A Book Of Intrigue showed promise on their debuts, but a bigger threat may come from Volunteer who was a strong finishing second here on his debut.
  1. Fuseau
  2. Volunteer
  3. A Book Of Intrigue
