Gelding by Shamardal made a most pleasing start to his career when a running on second in a C&D novice event three weeks ago. Can surely improve on that so leading claims to go one better.
Newcomer by Street Cry brother to a French Listed winner and half-brother to nine more winners. Hugely prolific family so worth a market check even though yard not known for newcomers.
Little to write home about in bumpers but better in C&D novice event latest when a never nearer sixth of nine. Longer trip would have been preferable but place chance.
Third in lone race for Andre Fabre last June before joining this yard for £9,000. Not easy to decipher form relative to these but could easily need this first run in eight months.
Little to encourage in 2017 when last seen with a career record of 0-6 with three sevenths the best she's managed. Long layoff and readily dismissed.
Son of 2000 Guineas hero Haafhd out of a dam who won from 7f-2m2f on the level and 2m-2m4f over hurdles. Almost certain one for further as opening ninth of 13 here showed.
Son of Faarh finished midfield in a 7½f Beverley contest on debut back in July. Entitled to come on plenty especially now gelded so has each-way prospects.
Dead-last in both starts to date here over 7f. Doubt extra 1f makes much difference so remains best watched.
£32,000 yearling by Bated Breath out of a prolific AW dam especially effective on Fibresand. Market should tell the tale here but speedy pedigree encourages.
C&D fourth of five in second start far more competitive than debut but hard to envisage that represents form above ordinary so more improvement needed to make the frame.
Nayef newcomer a half-sister to a 7f-1m Fibresand winner out of a 6f winning dam. Pedigree and yard record make little appeal so others preferred.
Dubawi newcomer out of a Group Three winning dam from a good family at around 6f-1m. Represents champion trainer whose record here is excellent and every chance she is good enough to land this.

A chance is taken on newcomer SEVERNAYA who wouldn't have to be anything out of the ordinary to win this and the vast majority from her stable are at least useful. Best form to date is with Blindingly but he must give 21lb to the selection which could prove very difficult. Menin Gate is considered best of the rest.
