Won nicely on soft ground at Plumpton in early-December and was good runner-up at Fontwell over nearly 2m2f last time. Sets a fair standard and won't be far away despite having to concede 7lbs and more all round. Yard in fine form.
Shirocco gelding from decent jumping family on dam's side. Not unfancied on debut in Kempton bumper in February last year but was tailed off. Similary story at Newbury in November. Returns from wind surgery and too early to completely write off.
Ran with promise in two of three bumpers starts and agin shaped well when second in Aintree novice hurdle last May. Returns from a break but a bold show cannot be ruled out, especially if there is any positive market vibe.
Won 4-10 over fences since joining top yard in August, improving 34lb. Switches to timber and was good second over C&D on last start in this sphere in January 2018. Looks to have a major chance.
Won Southwell bumper on debut in September but soundly beaten all three starts since, including last two over hurdles. Looks to have plenty on his plate on that evidence.
Four-time winner on Flat at up to 1m4f and ran well when third on hurdlng bow at Newcastle last month. Ran poorly at Market Rasen last time but bet effort not out of the question and looks worth considering.
French 1m2f scorer. Ran well when fourth for new connections at Ludlow on first start for four months, only weakening approaching 2 out. Should strip fitter and receives weight-for-age and fillies allowance.
Forecasts
Coole Well (10/11), Peppay Le Pugh (6/4), Dr Richard Kimble (9/1), Dariya (25/1), Orkan (33/1), Lord Walsingham (33/1), The Rocket Park (66/1)
In recepit of 7lb PEPPAY LE PUGH is narrowly preferred to Coole Well. Dan Skelton's charge has been a revelation over fences this season and would have a sound chance if running anywhere close to that level back here over timber. Coole Well is a big danger having won nicely on his penultmate start then fared well in defeat last time. Dr Richard Kimble and Orkan are not out of it, nor is the unexposed filly Dariya.
