Eight-time German Flat winner at up to 1m2f. Joined current yard in May and has taken time to acclimatise. Creditable efforts last twice in handicap hurdles and won't be at all far away if in similar mood.
Just 1-27 under both codes but was fair second at Leicester in December off 2lb hgher mark and ran well form much of the way last time at Newbury until last-flight fall when held in third. Drying ground no problem.
First-time cheekpieces added here on handicap bow after just two previous outings over timber. Was a fair maiden on Flat (rated 81) amd may not be at all far away with improvement likely.
Unplaced all 13 starts - nine flat and four over hurdles - and was beaten out of sight at Huntingdon last time off this mark. Looks to face a very stiff task once again.
Landed Southwell novices handicap hurdle off 1lb higher mark last May but has failed to see out his race on a number of occasions since and appears to be struggling at present.
Ex-Irish Flat racer who hasn't troubled the judge since September 2015 but was fair fourth over 1m4f at Wolverhampton latest. Yet to reach a place though in six starts over hurdles but handicapper has eased him again by 3lb so not out of it.
Sprang a 40/1 shock in Wetherby h'cap hurdle last time, his first ever win at age of 13 and after 42 previous attempts. 7lb penalty now but had placed nine times, previously in hurdles career. Still races from 4lb out of the handicap.

The four-year-old LEGAL HISTORY was a fair middle-distance maiden on the Flat and has shown enough in his first two starts over hurdles to suggest a race such as this is within his compass. He looks on a workable mark for his handicap bow. Tim Rocco and Navajo War Dance both have reasonable claims, and maybe teenager First Of Never has turned over a new leaf following his surprse first win last time. Pullman Brown is the dark horse having fallen to an appealing mark if he can reprise his decent form on the Flat of a few seasons ago.
