Winner of nine point-to-points and successful on hunter chase debut here over 3m last spring. Unfortunate not to supplement that win in two further starts, he's fit (and in winning form) from point-to-points and the one to beat.

848 days since his he was beaten in a Chepstow handicap hurdle on sole British racetrack outing. More recent point-to-point form doesn't inspire much confidence.

13/8
Can race with the choke out at times, he's 1-12 under rules (hurdles win in 2017) but has shown he retains enthusiasm in point-to-points lately and deserves a place on the shortlist in this field.

Rules form is not inspiring and trailed home in his most recent start in a point-to-point, doesn't make any appeal this afternoon.

Is a multiple winning point-to-pointer but was pulled up most recently in that sphere after a layoff and looks a forlorn hopes on previous form under rules.

100/1
String of letters beside his name tell a tale, having failed to show much form either in point-to-points or under rules so far. Tough to make any case for here.

Forecasts

Master Baker (8/13), Bletchley Castle (13/8), Anolysse Moriniere (20/1), Honourable Exit (40/1), Curragh Hall (66/1), The Winningtipster (100/1)

Verdict

A weak event and one in which course winner MASTER BAKER should take some halting. He was unfortunate not to add to his win here last season over three-miles, but has a recent point-to-point success to suggest his wind surgery has had a positive effect. The free-going Bletchley Castle appears the most credible threat to his aspirations while Anolysse Moriniere heads the remainder on French form from way back when.
  1. Master Baker
  2. Bletchley Castle
  3. Anolysse Moriniere
