Couple of Market Rasen wins in the summer over 2m5½f on good-ground (one dead heat). Running in much better races this winter and while he's fallen and unseated in three runs, he's got to have fair claims.

Disappointed on second chase start in Lingfield novice handicap (2m7½f, soft; 10/11f) in January. Still early days but only third of four that afternoon and must take a step forward.

Irish import with two wins over timber during 2018 for this handler, has shaped well since going chasing and duly landed odds-on success at Leicester (2m6½f, good) a fortnight ago. Raised 8lb, should stay competitive.

Couple of wins from five starts over hurdles, December's chase bow at Newbury (2m7½f, soft) saw him weakening late on having shown some promise. Arguably wants a shorter trip.

11/4
Seven-race maiden, hasn't been finishing off his races in great style, including last month at Wincanton (2m4f, good) on chase bow. Blinkers tried now and tackles longer trip, was a point-to-pointer winner so may do better.

Forecasts

Hurricane Dylan (11/8), The Dellercheckout (11/4), Whoshotwho (4/1), Bastien (11/2), King Calvin (12/1)

Verdict

WHOSHOTWHO has been a shade unfortunate this term, running in strong races and then coming to grief late on at Ludlow when still holding viable claims last month. Arguably, this race is less taxing and Dr Richard Newland's charge can take advantage by getting back to winning ways. Leicester winner Hurricane Dylan is feared most despite going up in the ratings for this win while Bastien and The Dellercheckout have prospects of doing better than previously.
