Age: 10| Weight: 11-8| J: Blair Campbell⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 126

10/3

Far from harshly treated off his current mark and ought to find a winning opportunity sooner or later; this 3m trip perhaps isn't ideal, although he faces nothing of the calibre of Mahlervous today (runner-up in a Cl 2 at Kelso latest); key player.

5/1

Very-lightly raced for his age; sent off 5/4f on his return from a 19-month absence over fences here on New Years Day (disappointing); visor added in a bid to curb his enthusiastic nature; watching brief advised.

Ballynanty^t⁵²

Age: 7| Weight: 10-6| J: Lucy Alexander| T: N W Alexander| OR: 110| CD

1/1

Broke his duck at the eighth attempt over hurdles when readily accounting for Rainy City over C&D 52-days ago; 7lb higher in what is theoretically a slightly tougher race (Class 3); appears to hold every chance.

Form: 0-55U31

Buckled⁵⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 10-5| J: Rachel McDonald⁽⁵⁾| T: A M Thomson| OR: 109| CD

9/2

Historically, like so many of his stablemates he has thrived at this track; that said, he has question to answer after breaking a blood vessel (pulled up) over C&D on New Years Day; others make more appeal at present.

Forecasts

Ballynanty (1/1), Sky Khan (10/3), Buckled (9/2), Always Lion (5/1), Tawseef (12/1)

Theoretically on paper this is a slightly tougher race (Class 3) for the January C&D winner Ballynanty but in reality with the ground riding fast enough for the time of year that's probably not the case. However, the Lucinda Russell-trained SKY KHAN rates as the advice as he seeks his first victory since November 2015 (Market Rasen). Consistent in each of his three starts since late summer 2018, this ten-year-old is feasibly treated and lost little in defeat to Mahlervous over 2m5f at Kelso latest.
