Appeared to have gone into reverse following a rejuvenated spell when winning his first two starts for this yard. That theory was shown to be wrong when he burst back to form last time; up 6lb for that 15L win, this looks harder.
Tends to save his best efforts for small field contests. This mark is no issue and cheekpieces now go on. Will have is say if able to see out this trip a little better.
Seems to be on a good mark and has a couple of entries at the Cheltenham Festival. Carried out here over 2m4f when still in with every chance and could well get compensation today.
Unexposed over fences having only had two goes. Stayed on well to win at Uttoxeter (2m4f, soft) last time. Steps up in trip here and this race is a little tougher so needs to progress once more.
Admirable veteran who has been in wonderful form this winter. Winning a veterans race easily at Plumpton before a couple of sound efforts at Taunton and over C&D. Likely to give it another good go.
Veteran chaser who remains capable, as shown over 2m4f at Newbury in November (close third), however well fended off both starts since in decent company and opposable on balance.
Forecasts
Uhlan Bute (13/8), Tommy Silver (7/2), Calipso Collonges (4/1), Kilcrea Vale (4/1), Dream Bolt (12/1), More Buck's (12/1)
TOMMY SILVER looked sure to go close here last time before being carried out in the home straight. Compensation may well await here before a tilt at a Cheltenham Festival handicap. More Buck's has been a revelation since joining current connections and can chase the selection home.
