Second at Lingfield last time out but in truth was well beaten. Has been regressing for a while and uncertain whether the combination of a drop back in trip and better ground is helpful. Others preferred.

Only win (in Ireland) came on heavy ground and over half a mile further, so faces very different conditions on first start for new yard today. On that, best watched after a short break,

In good form this winter, found a well-handicapped one too good at Uttoxeter last time but lost nothing in defeat (pair well clear) and despite another nudge up the weights, should be on the premises again, with conditions ideal.

Third to Scorpion Sid in heavy ground here not a bad effort, but two moderate efforts after that and this trip looks a bare minimum for him (bred to stay well). Not seen since last April either, and this looks too tough.

Not progressing and weakened out of things to quickly for comfort at Uttoxeter last time. Drop back in trip may help, as might better ground, but looks too risky.

Winner on the Flat (over 12f) in Ireland but not shown a lot for this yard as yet. This looks a bit easier, so may do better, but plenty to prove after a long absence today.

Pops up from time to time when he's well enough handicapped, and conditions here should be fine, so could leave a couple of lesser efforts this winter behind. Should be fitter now too, so could have a hand in the finish.

Have to go back to 2016 for his last win, and hasn't pulled up any trees on three subsequent starts to that. Undoubtedly well handicapped but plenty of questions to answer after another long absence.

On a fair mark on the best of his form but hard to win with and consistency never been his strong point. Pulled up latest start, looking difficult in the process, and best left alone here.

Runner-up on last three starts, looking the winner on two of them, only to be denied late in the day. Makes debut for new yard, but up in the weights and in a tougher race. Needs to pull out more again.

Forecasts

Delface (11/4), Baratineur (3/1), Max Do Brazil (10/3), All Good Things (9/2), Mr Jack (6/1), Caswell Bay (13/2), Bonne Question (17/2), Lost History (16/1), Global Thrill (25/1), Hollywood All Star (25/1), Mr Fitzroy (33/1), Big Fred (40/1)

Verdict

DELFACE continues to run well and this looks a little easier than his latest task when he found one too good. He can give this a good go from the front and may be capable of making all. Mr Jack runs his race more often that not and there's a prize to be won with him here. Old Global Thrill might be best of the rest.
