Likes to make the running and has redeemed himself with a couple of solid runs posted since he refused to race at Market Rasen in December. Stays this trip well and can make this a good test.
Back over hurdles after below par run over fences latest; had previously gone very close to justifying favouritism over C&D last October. On the same mark and must be considered for a place at least.
Enjoyed the summer last year but found out by a rise in the weights after a victory at Worcester left him needing a personal best. Getting some respite but recent form suggests he needs to drop a little further in the handicap now.
Lightly raced since winning a brace over hurdles on soft ground a couple of seasons ago. Has been well beaten in his last few starts and now has something to prove.
Looks weighted to the limit at present and hard to see him reversing last month's Warwick form with Oh Land Abloom; others make more appeal.
Goes well here but not the easiest to predict and is another that has form to reverse with Oh Land Abloom; the ground may also be faster than he cares for too.
Very well handicapped on the pick of past form and always dangerous to underestimate runners from this yard on their return form an absence. The percentage call is that others will have the gelding's measure here though.
Best effort under rules was posted over hurdles at Hereford last March, so interesting the gelding reverts to timber after an unsuccessful spell over fences. Improvement needed but still worth noting in the betting.
Forecasts
Oh Land Abloom (7/2), Perfect Man (7/2), Doesyourdogbite (4/1), Boreham Bill (13/2), Theatrebar (7/1), Bryden Boy (17/2), Diamond Fort (10/1), Master Tradesman (22/1)
All things pint to a bold attempt from O LAND ABLOOM is he's in the same frame of mind as he was in for his last two starts; which have seen the gelding go close on each occasion. The gelding might well be suited to giving weight away to lesser rated rivals on the predicted going here. Boreham Hill has shown a liking for this course and is highly respected, while Master Tradesman could be good value for a place in the frame now he switches back to hurdles.
- Oh Land Abloom
- Boreham Bill
- Master Tradesman
