Made most at Lingfield last week and showed a good attitude to hold on near the finish. That was his first win over fences but proved that he's capable on his day. Still very well treated in comparison to his hurdles rating despite 7lb extra today.

Stays well and has a feasible chance from 5lb below his last winning mark. Poor effort latest needs to be forgiven though.

Yet to win under rules but generally jumps well and was making good progress before a blot on the copy book when he unseated last time out. May redeem himself with a clear round but still needs to improve.

Finished six lengths behind The Boss's Dream here on his penultimate start, which was the gelding's first outing after wind surgery. Better off at the weights this time but unseated latest and needs to stay focused this time.

Has won over 3m but steps into the unknown as he tackles a new trip here; has a good attitude so reasonable to suggest he may improve. Worth a betting check.

Age: 8|  Weight: 11-6| J: Charlie Deutsch| T: David Dennis| OR:  94

Won a couple of point-to-points but form over regulation fences has been mixed so far. Well held both starts after wind surgery and now needs to up his game. Others hold stronger claims on face value.

Eaton Millerp3
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-9| J: James Nixon(7)| T: T Symonds| OR:  83
9/1
Held in a conditional riders handicap over hurdles last time but is still open to improvement over fences. Needs to prove his stamina over this trip though.

Pulled up on his chasing debut here last time out and plenty to prove on that evidence. Others make more appeal for a punt on this occasion.

Yard noted for revitalising the occasional apparent lost cause but this fellow, despite being open to improvement, has failed to make much progress since switching stables and is difficult to recommend at present.

Coopers Squareb8(ex 7)
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-0| J: Alan Johns| T: T H Weston| OR:  65

Bounded clear of his field at Huntingdon last week; ran a blinder from out of the handicap and wearing blinkers for the first time. Has 7lb extra to carry but is still 2lb wrong at the weights here. More required.

Still a maiden and was well beaten on chasing debut last time. Wears a tongue tie for the first time but still best watched; especially considering he's had wind surgery since his last run.

Forecasts

Coopers Square (5/4), The Boss's Dream (7/1), Blackmill (8/1), Eaton Miller (9/1), Silent Encore (10/1), Up The Drive (10/1), Babytaggle (10/1), Houndscourt (12/1), Murphy's Nails (16/1), Abbeygrey (25/1), Spirit Of Hale (25/1), Kilmoganny (25/1), Tanacando (25/1), Try It Sometime (33/1)

Verdict

There's risk attached but THE BOSSES DREAM won in gritty style at Lingfield last week and he looks the most reliable candidate to deliver an effort of substance here. Tanacando doesn't have too much to find with the selection and is feared as a live danger, while strong cases can also be laid out for Houndscourt and Silent Encore, who both hold reasonable chances of at least making the frame in this company. Spirit Of Hale needs to prove his stamina over the trip but is also worth a betting check.
  1. The Boss's Dream
  2. Tanacando
  3. Houndscourt
