Danse Away^p²⁸

Age: 7| Weight: 11-10| J: Danny Mullins| T: T J Nagle-Jr| OR: 121| D

7/2

Improving chaser this term, winning over 2m4f at Navan before close second at Cork on soft-going. Ridden and no extra two out when beaten 48L in a novice handicap last month but should be better suited to today's conditions stepping up in trip.

Form: 401218

Kilganer Queen²³¹

Age: 9| Weight: 11-1| J: Rachael Blackmore| T: P W Flynn| OR: 112| D

11/2

Dual distance winner over hurdles and in the point-to-point ranks for previous yard. Possible place claims on stable debut.

Form: 61P-717

Mon Lino²¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-1| J: Mark Walsh| T: P Nolan| OR: 112

5/4

127-rated handicap hurdler without a win in seven starts over the larger obstacles. Ran well at the Dublin festival over hurdles recently and races off 15lb lower mark reverting to fences. Open to plenty of improvement.

Form: 9U0094

King's Song^t¹⁴

Age: 9| Weight: 11-0| J: K Brogan⁽⁷⁾| T: D Broad| OR: 111| D

8/1

Six-time winner for Gordon Elliott yet to fire in three starts for current yard this season. Ran a gallant fourth of 16 over the banks of Punchestown earlier this month and is capable of a big run if in the mood.

Form: 696804

Sweet As A Nut^t⁸⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 10-13| J: A McCurtin⁽³⁾| T: Michael Barry| OR: 110| D

15/2

Winner of a Limerick hunter chase over two years ago but has fallen and suffered two defeats over 85L in a number of chase starts since. Looks a tall order in this company.

Form: 11F/5-60

Home Place¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-5| J: Robbie Colgan| T: K Thornton| OR: 102

20/1

Was third in five-runner beginners' chase here on New Year's Day over 2m5f. Well held in three starts since, failing to finish in a couple of them. May find this a tough assignment.

Form: 0036PU

Thekingofconnemara²⁹

Age: 12| Weight: 10-0| J: C A Landers⁽⁵⁾| T: J G Carr| OR: 97| D

12/1

Now 12-years-old and is without a win in 10 starts over fences, best of this season's efforts did come over similar trip here in November. Pulled up on stable debut latest and may struggle on these terms.

Form: 65270P

Non-Runners

Kayf Thou¹¹

Weight: 10-6| Age: 8

T: G Elliott J: Jack Kennedy

Forecasts

Mon Lino (5/4), Kayf Thou (2/1), Danse Away (7/2), Kilganer Queen (11/2), Sweet As A Nut (15/2), King's Song (8/1), Thekingofconnemara (12/1), Home Place (20/1)

Trainer Paul Nolan may have found an ideal opening for the Martaline gelding Mon Lino to get of the mark for J P McManus at the eighth time of asking over the larger obstacles but the form of the Gordon Elliott-yard at this meeting in the last four years cannot be ignored and his Fairyhouse handicap chase winner KAYF THOU can get back to winning ways here under jockey Jack Kennedy following a hiccup on his last start earlier this month. Danse Away and King's Song can battle it out for the remaining place.
