Improved for his debut when last seen in a Warwick bumper in December, a run that was not devoid of promise. Should be capable of better now going hurdling. Represents a top team and is respected.
Showed some promise in a couple of bumpers, including when third here on debut. Needs to step up on that on hurdles debut, but is far from written off.
Made a very promising debut over hurdles when 66-1 and beaten just 1½L at Newcastle (2m½f, good to soft) last month. Looks a leading contender if he can back that up today.
Showed some promise in bumpers, but was well beaten on his hurdles debut at Newcastle last month. Can't write him off after one moderate effort, but does need to show plenty of improvement on that to compete.
1m6f Flat winner on soft for Mark Johnston. Respectable debut over hurdles for this trainer last time at Newcastle (soft). Handles a sound surface and there should be more to come from him this time. Player.
77-rated on the Flat, but has not looked up to much in three hurdles runs so far.
Forecasts
River Glades (4/5), For Three (3/1), Allonok (5/1), Cosheston (12/1), Just Call Me Al (22/1), Mint Gold (50/1), The Navigator (125/1)
River Glades ran well first up at Newcastle and is proven on fast ground on the Flat, so he has a fair bit going for him here, but preference is for FOR THREE, for whom expectations appeared significantly lower when he came up with a very promising effort last time. Allonok and Cosheston are two others of interest.
