Jumped well when winning here over 3m two starts back. Struggled under a penalty at Newbury last time but no surprise to see him bounce back here now edging up further in trip.
Capable on a going day off this sort of mark but last two efforts have been disappointing having been pulled up a long way out. Needs to bounce back to very best here to take this.
Still a maiden after 11 starts but that doesn't tell the full story as he is becoming ultra-consistent. Again ran well at Doncaster last time. Up another 2lb for not winning but sure to give his best once more. Visor goes on first-time.
Moving into the veteran stage now and comes here just 1lb higher than for his latest win. Well held at Newbury last time and Sam Twiston-Daives now prefers Quarenta.
Goes into this 9lb lower than when just held in a 3m5f chase here in spring 2017. Only two starts this winter and there were signs last time that he could be on the way back. Respected.
Started the winter off well with a couple of solid efforts at Bangor and Haydock. Sent off favourite at Bangor as a result last time but ran no race at all. Needs to bounce back but more than capable on a going day.
Winner at Ludlow off a 5lb higher mark last spring but has been nowhere near that level since. Showed a little more back at that venue last time and cheekpieces are now added from an attractive looking mark. Hard to discount.
Forecasts
Mahlermade (3/1), Hey Bill (7/2), Quarenta (9/2), Global Dream (9/2), Horatio Hornblower (13/2), Another Frontier (11/1), Steps And Stairs (12/1)
Mahlermade has been very consistent without winning of late and is sure to give it another good go. Ready preference is for Quarenta who jumped really well here two starts back and clearly has the most potential of these going forward.
