Only had one start since being pulled up at the Cheltenham Festival last year and was well held at the same venue in January. Not on a bad mark on old form but will need to be back to his very best to win this.

Winner at Stratford back in November off a 3lb lower mark. Struggled twice since and stable seem to have a stronger case with Oldgrangewood and Aintree My Dream.

Consistent sort who won well at Chepstow on Welsh National Day. Ran as well as could be expected at Ascot last time behind Cyrname who was a handicap blot that has since bolted up in Grade 1 company. Sound claims once more.

Won a weak looking race for the grade at Newton Abbot two starts back and struggled with the 5lb rise at Uttoxeter last time. This race looks tougher and may find a couple too good.

Very lightly raced in recent times and has been steadily improving over fences. Returns after another short break but going the right way and no surprise were he to run well here if jumping holds up.

Decent sort that likes to bowl along in the lead. Form has generally been disappointing over the last 12 months but has fallen to a very dangerous mark as a result. Danger to all if getting loose on the front-end.

Not had many chances over fences and is finding his feet in handicaps. Good efforts the last twice and wouldn't need to find a great deal to be a player today.

Hasn't won over fences since 2016 but has been well placed to pick up some prize money in small-field events of late. Needs a bit more to come out on top in this deeper contest.

Forecasts

Doitforthevillage (3/1), Foxtail Hill (4/1), Oldgrangewood (9/2), Diable De Sivola (7/1), Cobra De Mai (15/2), Master Dee (15/2), Aintree My Dream (8/1), Poker School (10/1), Drumlee Sunset (12/1), Caltex (12/1)

Verdict

A cracking contest and you can make a pretty solid case for plenty of them. Foxtail Hill will be dangerous if allowed to dictate off a dangerous looking handicap mark. Master Dee and Oldgrangewood are both more than capable of running big races. DOITFORTHEVILLAGE has been in terrific form and can gain another success here. He was unfortunate to bump into the handicap blot in Cyrname at Ascot last time and should be bang there once more.
