Won an Ascot novices' handicap hurdle off a mark of 115 in November (2m3f, good). Well held in a strong handicap at Ascot last month and will be a major force dropped back into novice company here.
Beat the huge improver Glen Forsa at Carlisle on hurdles debut in November. Disappointed next time but has been given plenty of time since that run and has obvious claims with more improvement likely.

Cost £40,000 after finishing runner-up in his sole run in an Irish point-to-point in May. Sent off 9/4 for rules debut at Bangor in December but pulled up before the last. Had two months off and needs to be much sharper here.

€38,000 3yo; half-brother to two winners, including You Can't Catch Me. Well held in sole bumper start and only hurdles run. Looks to need more time and best watched today.
Price increased from €6,500 as a foal to €25,000 as a three-year-old. Dam is a point winner but remained a maiden over hurdles but is related to some smart NH types. Market good guide on rules debut.

Had some useful form in France but has been slightly disappointing in two starts for Paul Nicholls. Yard have really peaked in the last few days so no surprise to see an improved effort and has a significant experience edge.
Well held in sole bumper and a similar story in both hurdles starts so far too. Steps up in trip here and young rides 10lb claim means that he has place claims if able to build on those first two efforts.
Won a three-runner bumper on first start but was a little too keen early on at Aintree on hurdles debut. That was still a promising effort and should be able to build on that now.

Well backed when winning on debut at Taunton. Well held on second start at Doncaster under a penalty but that is a race that is working out pretty well. Makes hurdling debut after a year off and market a good guide.

Well held in all three starts in bumpers. Makes hurdling debut but is bred for fences over further and can only be watched at this stage unless market screams her name.

Forecasts

One For Rosie (7/4), New Quay (5/2), My Way (3/1), Smith's Bay (12/1), Falco Blitz (14/1), One For The Team (18/1), Northofthewall (25/1), Lots Of Luck (50/1), Getaway Mission (100/1), Earcomesali (200/1)

Verdict

New Quay sets a pretty good standard dropping back to novice company and should be right in the thick of things. My Way is also feared having not been with Paul Nicholls all that long. The yard are firing on all cylinders now so he is very much respected. Slight preference is for ONE FOR ROSIE who beat Glen Forsa on hurdling debut but then ran flat next time. A return to form here would make him a tough nut to crack.
