Lessons learned on penultimate start when more use made of his stamina and jumping prowess to beat a 142-rated rival by 10L off level weights. The Close Brothers at Cheltenham is a target and he needs to win here for that to be realistic.
Consistent type suited to faster ground. It remains to be seen how forward he is following a break and with conditions unexpectedly fast at this time of year. Up 13lb since his last run and others make more appeal.
Well-placed to pick up four races in similarly small fields. Needs to be played late and Clondaw Castle should set this up for him, but another 6lb rise in the weights looks more problematic.
Has landed two minor races at Warwick and Taunton this term and most recently was beaten by a stable companion of Clondaw Castle. Up in class, but weighted to give a good account.
