Just a solitary bumper win to her name (also won a point) but has been well held in both starts since returning from a break. Likes to make the running but plenty to prove in trying this trip for the first time over hurdles (and under rules).

Made all to win a bumper here last time and is respected as a potential improver. However, she never really recovered from a bad mistake in her solitary previous start over hurdles and also has plenty to prove over a much longer trip.

0-20 so far (0-11 over hurdles) and in danger of becoming frustrating. Possible this longer trip will suit but has a long absence to overcome. Others preferred.

Winner of a point-to-point in November but been well beaten twice over hurdles since. A lot to prove now.

Age: 8|  Weight: 10-13| J: M A Enright| T: T Foley

Pulled up in a point-to-point nearly two years ago and not been seen in action since. Best watched on debit over hurdles.

Made very little impact in three bumpers and has been much the same in a couple of spins over hurdles too. Plenty to prove and others more likely winners.

Myladyrose38
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: M F Mooney| T: Mrs A Mooney
100/1
Showed promise in a mares only point-to-point on debut but failed to build on that effort when last seen in a similar sort of race. Another who is probably best left to her own devices.
Out of a 2m7f-3m hurdle and chase winner, but pedigree is nothing out of the ordinary. Late in the day for her racecourse bow and best watched.

Cost €18,000 and is bred to stay at least 2m4f. Made little impression in mares point-to-point on debut but possible she's one that will improve with age. Wears cheekpieces for this racing debut.

Florence Bay56
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: A W Short(3)| T: L Lennon

Poor efforts between the flags before two very modest displays over hurdles in December. Very hard to recommend her for a punt judging on those performances.

Mount Ida73
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: Jack Kennedy| T: G Elliott
10/3
Bought for £70,000 at the Cheltenham sales in December after she won a point-to-point at Tattersalls Farm. She won going away that day and obviously created a very favourable impression. One of the most interesting contenders in this company.

Whatucallher36
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-11| J: Robbie Colgan| T: E P Harty
11/10
Sets the standard after several near misses in similar types of races. This looks weaker than some of the mare's previous engagements and no doubting that she deserves a change of fortune. Well worth considering.

Forecasts

Whatucallher (11/10), The Caddy Rose (10/3), Mount Ida (10/3), Sunrise Lady (11/1), Deilginis (16/1), Miss Shoe City (20/1), O Supreme (50/1), Amarillo Rose (50/1), Myladyrose (100/1), Florence Bay (100/1), Angelic Moon (100/1), Jacra Bello (100/1)

Verdict

Not the strongest set of opponents that WHATUCALLHER has faced so far and this could finally be the day when things go her way. The mare sets the standard to aim for and may have a valuable edge over Mount Ida in terms of experience. Sunrise Lady likes to make the running and makes more appeal than Dellginis, who needs to step things up considerably from her effort in a point-to-point if she's going to get off the mark under rules at the first time of asking.
  1. Whatucallher
  2. Mount Ida
  3. Sunrise Lady
