Solid third at Cheltenham latest where he only gave best in the last furlong, and may find the return to a flatter track to his liking. Drops in grade too, ground no issue, excellent jockey booking and all looks in place for a big run.
Has some good French form to his name, very well backed to take a competitive chase at Sandown on debut for the yard but jumped poorly and was pulled up. However, looks very well treated back over hurdles and any money needs strongly noting.
Has some good efforts to his name from last Autumn but efforts more lately seem to suggest he's rather gone off the boil. Application of blinkers on latest start (removed here) did little to improve things and he can only be watched at present.
Easy winner of a maiden hurdle (for Sam Thomas) at Huntingdon last March and ran well in Listed company afterwards, but disappointing when last seen and now makes debut for new yard. Probably more to come and a market move would be interesting.
Reverts to hurdles after three non-completions in his last four starts over fences. Looks well treated these days and the suspicion is there's a race of this nature in him, but confidence must have taken a knock and he's a risky proposition.
Picked up a couple of races (at a much lower level) for Gordon Elliott but handicapper has had his say and he was well beaten off on first start for new yard at Uttoxeter last month. Best watched at present.
Made all to win at Worcester lin August 2017 but couldn't follow that up a couple of weeks later and has not been seen since then. Tough race to make your comeback in and unless there's heavy market support, is best watched.
One win in 13 starts, that coming at Cheltenham last April but not always the most resolute and gave up the ghost pretty quickly at Market Rasen when last seen. That was last July too, so every chance she will need this after an absence.
Starting to look very well handicapped now but hard to win with and last success came in selling company some 15 months ago. Conditions fine and yard do know how to land a gamble, so watch the market closely for a clue.
Yet to win in 13 starts and already on his third trainer, but definite signs of ability in three starts over hurdles and goes into handicaps on a fair looking mark. Conditions look fine and another to keep an eye on in a competitive event.
More letters than numbers in his recent form, which is never a good thing, but is a C&D winner that's only 2lb higher than his last win, so hard to discount totally. Needs a clear round but hard to discount completely if he can get it together.
Not shown a lot in six starts for Jessica Harrington and now makes debut for Sophie Leech after another absence. May do better at some point but this is a tough race to be pitched in and others make more appeal.
Forecasts
Flashing Glance (7/4), Sparkleandshine (11/4), Red Mix (6/1), Mad Jack Mytton (8/1), Oxwich Bay (14/1), Comber Mill (20/1), Stylish Dancer (20/1), Cold Shoulder (25/1), Avantgardist (28/1), Stephanie Sunshine (40/1), Jacobite Rising (40/1), Old Harry Rocks (50/1)
An ultra-competitive handicap and you can make some sort of case out for almost everything in the field. The booking of Sean Bowen catches the eye for RED MIX who was heavily backed for his British chase debut at Sandown but his fencing technique let him down, and he was pulled up. Back over hurdles, and on a 7lb lower mark, he might be worth another chance. Flashing Glance looks nailed-on to run his race again and ought to be in the frame. Sparkleandshine is a potential improver on his first start for Harry Whittington and towards the foot of the handicap, Avantgardist is another likely to do better now he tackles handicaps.
