One of three course winners that go to post he came back to his best last time over 1m2f at Lingfield; came from a long way back to finish second. Yet to try this trip but looks as though he will be suited by it; 4lb above his last winning mark.

Consistent sort who has been seen to good effect of late coping well with this trip when back from a break winning at Newcastle off a 3lb lower mark. Ran well again last time on Fibresand, makes Polytrack debut; travels well, every chance.

Dual course winner who stays this trip well but does need a strong gallop to be seen at his best and this may be a tactical affair. In good heart lately though and hard to rule out of this tight little contest; yet to win off this mark.

Dual course winner back in 2017 but has provided more questions than answers in two runs since returning from a 568 day break. Well held on both starts so far and while it's hard to totally write him off he does have something to prove.

Relinquished his unbeaten Fibresand record last time out when failing over this trip having been easy to back and racing freely. Despite the small field this looks a tough ask particularly as he didn't look to get home last time and is up in grade.

Forecasts

Lucky Deal (6/4), Busy Street (5/2), Primero (4/1), Alabaster (8/1), Azari (12/1)

Verdict

Despite just a quintet of runners this is a complex little puzzle although it might not be enough of a test for Lucky Deal who stays this trip well but needs a strong pace to run at. Primero is unproven over 2m but he looks as though he will stay this far and ran a sound race last year but BUSY STREET is given the vote having been very consistent of late over this trip. He should cope with the surface (first try on it) and can continue his recent progress.
  1. Busy Street
  2. Primero
  3. Lucky Deal
