Shown very little since returning from a long absence with hopes now pinned on a drop into a lowly grade. Not given a hard time last time out and same top amateur pilot takes the ride again for a yard in good form.
Made a little more impact back on the Flat last time although his overall record of 1-22 is rather uninspiring. Still 5lb above his last winning mark but proven on this track despite the trip looking a little on the short side.
Course winner (7f maiden) who is battling to overcome a long losing run and looked unsuited by the trip (1m1f) and the way the race was run here last time. Looks to need this sort of test these days; well handicapped on his old form.
Last win came over hurdles and in great need of making a comeback on the Flat (not seen to best effect last time; short of room). Now back with a tongue-tie on and a slight drop in grade but still has work to do with some of these.
Offered little after three months away from the track last time over a shorter trip here; went with little fluency. Cheekpieces minus the usual tongue-tie now return in a bid to find some improvement; yet to win a race though, others appeal more.
Strong in the betting on his last two starts without necessarily looking as though he was going to repay that support. Cheekpieces worn for the first-time in his last start are quickly dispensed with; should give a good account.
Managed to win a minor event at Brighton (when supported) early last year but has run nowhere near that level since. Last two AW run after a break have been particularly poor and best watched on this occasion.
From a yard having an excellent season over jumps his losing run continues to stack up and now stands at 20. Not seen on the Flat since late last year at Hamilton on soft ground; needs to show more spark on Tapeta debut to make an impact.
The only C&D winner in the field that remains his only Flat win and his recent form hardly says that he's going to add to that tally. Ran poorly over C&D last time; hopes now pinned on a career-low mark.
Has offered little in three runs for this yard having previously been with Jessie Harrington in Ireland. Ran over 2m here last time but failed to settle and doesn't really look as though he's one to be interested in.
Another one in the field who has struggled to win races (1-22 on the Flat) and it's a while since his sole visit to the winner's enclosure. Makes his first start for this yard (previously with John Butler); has a fair break to overcome though.

An uninspiring and low-key start to proceedings with sound profiles and winning form hard to find. SINGING THE BLUES has shown a lot more than most of these of late and with the very competent Patrick Millman on board he’s given the vote. Rainbow Lad may well benefit from the drop in class and won’t lack for assistance from the saddle with Picture Painter taken to fill one of the other places in a race that lacks depth.
