0-5 over hurdles, but has run some good races in defeat, not least at Newcastle last time, when 13L second. This is not quite as strong-a-race, and he should be very competitive.
Has improved with each run over hurdles, his best effort coming in a Doncaster maiden last time (2m5f, good). Looks to have been given a chance on his handicap debut, and a useful 7lb claimer up should also help. Interesting.
Has only got to the racecourse three times in the past 13-months, after having wind surgery. Little encouragement when pulled up back over hurdles in November, and not seen since. Watch.
Warwick bumper winner on debut for John Quinn in 2016, but couldn't get his nose in front for Dan Skelton despite some good efforts, and looks to have gone backwards in two runs for this trainer.
Won a 2m4f handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (good) for Jonjo O'Neill in 2017, when a stone higher. Has put in one or two reasonable runs for this yard, but needs to do much better than his return from a break last month. Positive jockey booking.
Would have a chance from this mark based on a couple of runs over fences last spring. Bought for just £1,800 in November, and needs to start heading back in the right direction after two poor runs for his previous trainer.
Well beaten in all three completed starts since joining this yard and although nicely treated on some of his Irish form, he clearly carries risks at present.
Won a Musselburgh bumper in 2014 when with Stuart Crawford. Had two further runs in 2015, but burst blood vessel on his return to action/stable debut last month, after a 1423-day absence. Watching brief advised.
Showed ability in a bumper on debut and, while he has run respectably over hurdles, he has yet to build on that initial promise. 2lb lower than when a 2L fourth on his handicap debut two starts ago, so not ruled out, but more needed.
0-3 over hurdles, and this multiple Flat winner over sprint trips still does not convince that he gets this far. Nonethless, you could make a case for him being fairly treated based on his hurdles debut, so not written off.
Beaten 3L from 4lb higher at Huntingdon last May, so if in that sort of form you could give him a squeak. However, recent efforts significantly less encouraging.
Stuck on gamely in an improved effort to win at Sedgefield (2m4f, good to soft; first-time cheekpieces) last time, on his handicap debut. Up 5lb for that narrow success, but open to improvement. Much respected.
Showed a bit of ability on debut in a Warwick bumper last May. His three hurdles efforts have been decidedly underwhelming, but he would be interesting if supported now going handicapping in cheekpieces, for a trainer who does well here.
Good effort when trying to make all at Catterick (2m3f, good) last time, but does seem to reserve his best for there. Respected, but needs to pull out even more now nudged up 1lb.
Won a heavy ground point in 2017, but has not yet shown much under rules. Not seen since October of that year, and good stable has retained him, which may hint at ability. Market check on his handicap debut in a tongue-tie.
Took a step back in the right direction at Kelso last time, but 0-13 under rules and from 2lb 'wrong' others makes more compelling cases.
12-year-old who is a 21-race maiden and from 8lb 'wrong' is readily opposed.

Dark Ruler has the ability to have a big say in this, with Rodeo Dodo an interesting runner for his top stable, after a lengthy layoff. He should be checked in the market. Gallows Point would be of interest if backed, while Brigadier Bob and Magic Dragon are both very much respected. However, DEBROUILLARD is going the right way and may have got in lightly on this handicap debut. He is suggested.
