Won a point-to-point around this time last year but lightly raced since and was well beaten on return at Taunton last month. Should strip fitter but still has a bit to find.
Likelihood he's being primed for another visit to Cheltenham for one of the more high-profile Hunters' Chases of the season. This looks an ideal stepping stone and the gelding looks like the one they all have to cope with.
Mixed form in point-to-points before he failed to get competitive in what was a winnable race at Warwick when he was last seen. Had wind surgery since and probably best watched on his first start back.
Finished well ahead of Boher Call at Taunton on his penultimate start but headed near the finish in a point-to-point since. This drop in trip ought to be more to his liking and this one-time Nicky Henderson inmate has to make the shortlist here.
Enjoyed a purple patch on the pointing scene in the summer but came up short of the mark at Stratford when last seen out. The absence since June is a concern but the gelding can hold his own at this level. Shortlisted.
Last seen under rules when winning a chase for Venetia Williams (wore blinkers for the first time) but pulled up in a point-to-point since. Can make the running but hard to say how much enthusiasm he retains after such a poor run latest.
Very good record in his completed starts but has been unpredictable on occasions. Comes here on the back of a poor effort and looks one to have reservations about for win only purposes.
Came good in a point-to-point latest but is unproven over regulation fences; probably safe to just take note of how he fares on this occasion.
