Bit better on handicap debut at Newcastle but further improvement needed though not out of the question as lightly raced in this sphere.
Tongue tie replaces hood for this handicap debut but doesn't look thrown in and would only be of interest if market was very positive.
Quickly dropped 6lb after poor run on handicap debut and yet to show he has taken to this game.
Much improved when staying on 16L second in big field at Newbury last time. Hard to be of sure if that form can be relied on as hot favourite under-performed, but it was a big step forward and can't be easily dismissed.
Hard to predict since most recent C&D win a year ago, though drying ground certainly in his favour and interesting jockey booking.
In good form with wins at Plumpton and Uttoxeter in the autumn. Not quite as good since but now dropped 3lb and does at least know how to win.
Patently failed to stay 2m7f at Lingfield when backed and possible that a fast run race at this minimum trip is what he wants though something to prove after that.
Appeared to show improved form when belying huge odds at Market Rasen but that wasn't a strongly run contest and just possible he was flattered by that.
Better was expected at Plumpton last time as it came off the back of an improved effort on the Flat. Possible found 2m4f stretching him that day and can do better now down in distance.
Ran out at Doncaster on latest which has to be a concern, but his Market Rasen run prior to that has been very well franked since and if on best behaviour has to be taken seriously.
On the downgrade prior to showing more at Plumpton on latest and while that form needs improving on, it was at least a step in the right direction.
Showed nothing in three runs for top stable in the autumn but has had a break and a wind operation since and no surprise if he proves a different proposition now. Receives plenty of weight and market should be revealing.
Forecasts
Roser Moter (9/2), Give Him Time (5/1), Tim Rocco (6/1), Maroc (13/2), Born To Please (15/2), Looks Frozen (8/1), Pottlereaghexpress (10/1), Stonecoldsoba (12/1), Dream Baie (12/1), Wenceslaus (14/1), Foxy's Spirit (20/1), Incus (25/1)
Not a race to be too confident about and narrow preference goes to MAROC despite the fact he comes with risks after running out last time. On her recent Newbury third Born To Please should play a part while it's hard what to make of Roser Moter on earlier form but better could be forthcoming after her break.
- Maroc
- Born To Please
- Roser Moter
