Weatherbys TBA Jane Seymour Mares' Novices' Hurdle (Grade 2)

Off time: 14:25 | Winning time: 5m 11.50s

Queenohearts⁵⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-7| J: C Gethings| T: S Edmunds| OR: 127| C

11/4

Took her career record to three from five last time out when winning a Haydock Listed contest where she beat Danse Idol by 1½L. That rival 5lb better off now with the penalty so looks vulnerable here but surprise if she doesn't go well.

Form: 411-21

Danse Idol⁵⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: Harry Cobden| T: P F Nicholls| OR: 126

3/1

Smart bumper performer won first hurdle race at Wincanton before finishing 1½L behind Queenofhearts in a 2m3f Haydock race. 5lb better off with that rival here so reversal entirely possible and stiffer track should suit.

Form: 12-612

Duhallow Gesture¹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 11-2| J: Aidan Coleman| T: A J Honeyball| OR: 124

4/1

Listed winner and Grade Two placed bumper performer showed gradual improvement in three hurdle races culminating in success at Taunton last time out. Longer trip no issue here and can improve further to go well.

Form: 113-321

Liberty Bella⁴⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 11-2| J: J M Quinlan| T: B Eckley| OR: 129

10/3

Showed little in first five starts but then won at Ludlow at 25/1. Showed that no fluke next at Hereford when winning with plenty in hand under a penalty over 2m5½f. Seems a mare on the up and has leading claims.

Form: 457-611

Papagana⁵⁵

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: L P Aspell| T: O Sherwood| OR: 120| CD

6/1

C&D handicap winner here on heavy ground penultimately but fourth latest at Haydock behind Queenofhearts and Danse Idol. More needed here then but C&D experience an obvious bonus.

Form: 45-1414

Rosy World¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 11-2| J: M G Nolan| T: Miss S Smith

25/1

Uttoxter bumper winner improved on first hurdle race latest when a 10L third at Fontwell upped to 2m3f. May have more to give but looks up against it at this level.

Form: 231-63

Forecasts

Queenohearts (11/4), Danse Idol (3/1), Liberty Bella (10/3), Duhallow Gesture (4/1), Papagana (6/1), Rosy World (25/1)

LIBERTY BELLA won impressively latest at Hereford under a penalty and has leading claims here despite now facing stiffer opposition. Danse Idol is weighted to reverse Haydock placings with Queenofhearts although there will likely be little between the pair once again.
