Has competed over C&D on three most recent outings and the latest of them saw him finish last of eight. Down another 2lb, but has to take a big step forward for last year's winning stable.
Several commendable efforts without being able to get his head in front and the latest of them, over 5f at this track, saw him finish third of 10 over 5f. Down 1lb and is worth considering back up in distance.
Bits of form since joining this yard from Richard Hannon, but not enough to get excited about. Rating continues to slide and hopes probably rest on first-time cheekpieces having a positive effect.
Landed a C&D novice contest in good style last month, but failed to back that up over 7f at Wolverhampton. Handicap debut back at the scene of his victory and may well be good enough.
Won three times for Michael Wigham in December and January, but first run for current trainer saw him finish only seventh of eight over C&D. Can do better, but needs to do so.
Scored over C&D in November and has gone close a couple of time since. May be a little high in the weights, but his solid course form makes him difficult to rule out.
Visored for the first time when scoring by a neck over C&D last month. No surprise to see the headgear retained and he can figure again off 2lb higher.
Forecasts
Dawn Delight (5/2), Epeius (7/2), Lucky Lodge (4/1), Jack The Truth (4/1), Tommy G (10/1), Princely (10/1), Deeds Not Words (16/1)
Lucky Lodge and Epeius boast solid C&D form and look likely to be on the premises, but they may have to give best to handicap debutant DAWN DELIGHT, whose victory in a novice event was achieved at this track. Princely is worth keeping an eye on in first-time cheekpieces, while Jack The Truth has prospects back up in distance.
