Age: 5|  Weight: 10-5| J: Alistair Rawlinson| T: M Appleby
7/2
German import who scored over 1m2f on the second of two runs last summer. Has joined a yard which does well with its acquisitions from other stables and is one to keep an eye on in the betting despite conceding lumps of weight.

Orchid Star13
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-0| J: D Tudhope| T: C Appleby
4/11
Built on promising Leicester debut when bolting up in a recent Chelmsford maiden. Probably capable of even better and looks a major candidate.

Al Daayen17
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-7| J: F Norton| T: C & M Johnston
14/1
Joshua Tree filly who fetched €12,000 as a yearling and is a half-sister to a couple of winners including 7f scorer How's Life. Only limited promise on debut at Wolverhampton and much more is needed.

Farrdhana
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-7| J: Nathan Evans| T: B Smart
14/1
Farhh filly out of a Dubawi mare, but was a fairly cheap purchase as a yearling. Best watched on debut unless the market speaks heavily in her favour.

Lizzie Loch40
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-7| J: P Hanagan| T: A C Whillans
33/1
Maxios filly who was bought for 11,000 gns as a two-year-old. Never landed a blow when eighth of nine over 1m2f at this track on debut and clearly needs to show significant improvement dropped in distance.

Forecasts

Orchid Star (4/11), Quila Saeda (7/2), Farrdhana (14/1), Al Daayen (14/1), Lizzie Loch (33/1)

Verdict

Quila Saeda is interesting on her British/stable debut, but she will have to be useful to get the better of ORCHID STAR, who showed ability on debut before scooting home at Chelmsford. Al Daayen did not show enough on her first run to suggest she will be a threat for her powerful yard, while debutant Farrdhana and Lizzie Loch are probably best watched.
  1. Orchid Star
  2. Quila Saeda
  3. Al Daayen
