Cost €15,000 and is a sister to a 2m winning hurdler, out of a dam who also won over fence. Yard quiet by their standards but capable of having one ready. A market move would be interesting.
Went for just 1,500 gns at the Newmarket sales last February and has posted just two very moderate efforts in bumpers since. Not seen out after November last year and has a lot to find on his return.
Makes some appeal on pedigree and his yard has been among the winners lately. Appeals as one to bear in mind if supported even though he lacks experience at this stage.
Nicely-bred individual whose dam is a half-sister to high-class hurdler Hatchibald. Yard always respected in races of this nature and possible this fellow is one to follow. Worth considering.
Cost just 5,000 gns at the July sales in Newmarket; ostensibly a flat-bred individual who may need the experience as much as anything. A rare runner in a race of this nature for this yard.
A High Chaparral gelding with European winners in his bloodlines. Yard unusually quiet just now. Probably safe to just take notes on this occasion.

Forecasts
Mr Stan (5/2), Trailboss (11/4), Nickelsonthedime (11/4), Far Bihoue (5/1), The Cruix (11/2), Penny Mallow (6/1), Parkin (10/1), Don't Think So (25/1)
Not the strongest of bumpers but MR STAN looks an interesting recruit for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard and he gets a tentative nomination in preference to Nickelsonthedime, who has the benefit of a couple of solid efforts posted for his previous trainer. Far Bihoue and Penny Mallow are others to monitor in the betting.
