A comfortable winner of a Class 5 handicap last time and created the impression he has more to offer. Up 8lb for that success but may well be up to the task of shouldering top weight in this company.

Modest form posted so far but fared better in her latest start. More still required but cannot be discounted at this level. Drying ground would be a positive sign for the mare.

Modest form in Ireland needs to be improved upon in dramatic fashion. Possible this drop into selling company will bring some improvement but probably safe to let the mare do her own thing on debut for her new yard.

Won on the Flat (on soft ground) at Catterick last October but last couple of outings over hurdles have been regressive and the filly looks a risky proposition just now. Needs to stop the rot soon.

A maiden under both codes and three starts over hurdles have been modest at best. Others hold much stronger claims this time.

Lost his way in point-to-points after a win on firm ground last May. Previous form under rules needs to be better too. Difficult to recommend.

On a long losing run and even the drop into this grade failed to spark a revival from the gelding. Another with a good deal to prove even in a low-key race such as this.

Forecasts

Generous Jack (11/8), Queen Adelaide (3/1), Glimpse Of Gold (9/2), Nancy Maher (6/1), Good Impression (13/2), Hurricane Minnie (7/1), Kilcaragh Boy (25/1), Brereton (25/1)

Verdict

This could be a good opportunity for GENEROUS JACK to follow up a smooth win in a better race than this at Plumpton last month. An 8lb higher mark is off-set by the drop in class. Glimpse Of Gold has been knocking on the door lately and doesn't have too much to find to at least make the frame. Hurricane Minnie is forwarded as the best of the rest.
