A dual winner over hurdles and handles cut in the ground. Failed to stay 3m in a stronger race last time and, with a 10lb claimer in the plate, he could be a contender.

C&D record of 2-3 and a 5lbs rise for his latest success seems fair enough, particularly as he has won off much higher.

His last success was in a Grade 3 hurdle four years ago. Few signs lately the drought would be ending soon.

Took the opener on this card two years ago. Woefully out of form on last six starts and blinkers need to produce a huge turnaround.

Only win in 31 starts came in Catterick staying novice hurdle three years ago. 0-12 over fences and positive signs last time, but he is not particularly consistent.

Verdict

Sartorial Elegance will rightly be a warm order for this given his C&D record and his lastest run. His mark remains attractive but he has an inconsistent record and CAMRON DE CHAILLAC is preferred. The selection came to hand at the turn of last year and readily took a couple of handicap hurdles. He faded in the closing stages last time, but he is back to his optimum distance in a weaker race and under a rider who is good value for his 10lb claim.
