Only Fibresand virgin in the field he's yet to win a race but did look a little unlucky at Lingfield over 1m last time. Shaped well on all three runs for this yard without a race necessarily going his way; blinkers return, ran well in them before.

Four-time course winner; form over this trip is patchy though and yet to win at this trip. Not in quite the same form as when in his purple patch at the start of last year; did meet some trouble over C&D last time. Needs to produce off reduced mark.

Not won since 2014 and has obviously had some issues over the past few years although he did shape well over C&D last month. Failed to build on that last time out (ran too free) at Newcastle; still has some questions to answer.

Verdict

An awkward contest to call with plenty of Fibresand form on offer but those with it all coming with something of a question mark over them. Kommander Kirkup isn’t proving to be in a good mood of late and his temperament makes him hard to trust. Sooqaan looked one-paced over this trip last time and is better at the 1m trip here whilst Baron Run has to settle better than he did last time. The possibility of a slowly run race could leave Grey Destiny vulnerable and a chance is taken on the Fibresand debutante and maiden SCREAMING GEMINI. His pedigree suggests he should be able to act on the surface with his last three runs all showing enough promise to go close here.
