Progressive filly who has posted career-bests with a win and a third on the fibresand. Previous win came over this C&D and she looks up to winning off this mark. Should go close.

Was in great form at this time last year so it was disappointing he couldn't build on his previous start when disappointing back at Southwell. Makes his course debut with the overall impression he may need some slack from the handicapper.

Just one win since 2016 and lost his way last year, with now the handicapper starting to relent. Had form fresh early in his career and does like this C&D but hard to be confident over on first run since September.

Veteran has built up an impressive record over this C&D, running well on all five occasions and showing good resolution to make it two wins here last start. Up 3lb but remains on a competitive mark and and can be involved again.

C&D winner in 2017 and hasn't been beaten far on his last few starts. Given a chance when dropped to this grade last start and would need to find extra on that off this current mark.

Has eased to a competitive mark and ran a good second in a higher grade at Kempton over 6f. Unraced here but interesting back at a trip he's unexposed over with just three starts and a win. Can go well again.

Another Angel5

Races predominantly over this C&D (four wins) but after his latest success was held off this career-high mark. Consistent performer and can never be ruled out here but may be moving into the handicapper's grip.

Katheefab15
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-1| J: J P Sullivan| T: Mrs R Carr| OR:  69| C

Arrives on a 17-race losing streak but has now eased to an attractive mark and was back to form when finishing between Archimedes and Another Angel over this C&D. First-time blinkers replace cheekpieces and could go well.

Frustrating sort and has won just one of 44 career starts which was back in 2013. Needs to find plenty on well beaten return behind Another Angel and others look stronger.

Bid for a C&D hat-trick came unstuck in unfortunate circumstances as he unseated his rider leaving the stalls. Put that behind him with a neck second back here at the end of last month. In great form and only likely to go well again.

Forecasts

Another Angel (3/1), Eternal Sun (4/1), Katheefa (9/2), Pea Shooter (7/1), Jack The Truth (8/1), Landing Night (8/1), Archimedes (8/1), Bernie's Boy (16/1), Gamesome (20/1), Orient Class (25/1)

Verdict

An open handicap where a number hold realistic chances. Archimedes is in great heart over this C&D and like Katheefa looks set to go close again. Pea Shooter has really taken to this surface and rates a big danger and the lightly-raced Eternal Sun is moving rapidly in the right direction. A chance though is taken that BERNIE'S BOY has a style of racing that will be well suited to this track and is worth a try back at this distance.
  1. Bernie's Boy
  2. Archimedes
  3. Eternal Sun
