Sold for 50,000 gns after light three-year-old campaign on the Flat but took to hurdling straight away when getting on top after the last at Wetherby last month. Sure to be more to come with softer conditions and slightly longer trip to suit.
Won over 1m on heavy ground as a two-year-old for Roger Varian but didn't progress after and sold for 37,000 gns last October. Hurdling debut and would need to be above average in this sphere to take this.

Irish challenger who has improved with each run over hurdles and in the process of running a big race when falling at the last behind the smart Sir Erec at Leopardstown in December. Would probably have finished third that day. obvious claims here.

Poor 52 rated maiden on the Flat and has shown little in two goes over hurdles. Impossible to fancy on all evidence.
Four wins for this yard at up to 1m4f on the Flat and showed some promise on hurdling debut recently but needs to take quite a step forward.

1m6f good ground winner on the Flat when trained in France. Got no further than the first on hurdling debut and well beaten at Ascot subsequently. Probably more of a long term prospect.

5/2
Winning stayer on the Flat with Sir Mark Prescott and shaped with promise when 9L second on Newbury hurdling debut. Entitled to improve though that form has taken a few knocks from those in behind.
No form under either code and very hard to make a case for against some promising rivals.

Forecasts

Lisheen Castle (11/8), Bachelor (9/4), Praeceps (5/2), Capone (13/2), Faldo (13/2), Dr Richard Kimble (12/1), Honorable (22/1), Ace Ventura (33/1), Foxy's Spirit (200/1), Boston T Party (200/1)

Verdict

An above average juvenile contest for the track which could take a bit of winning. Narrow preference goes to the Irish raider BACHELOR whose run behind the Triumph Hurdle favourite last time reads well here. Lisheen Castle did well to overcome inexperience to win on hurdles debut last month and looks sure to progress while Faldo is another with more to come after bumping into a smart sort at Warwick.
  1. Bachelor
  2. Lisheen Castle
  3. Faldo
