Has raced exclusively at this track since arriving from France proving progressive at around this distance. Failed to see out two miles and then back to his very best with a close second over 1m3f latest. Looks up to defying 3lb rise.
Has eased to a favourable mark and was fitter for his return with a close second at Wolverhampton. Should be spot on now and well suited by this step back up in distance. Looks primed to go well.
Broke through on start nine in November when well suited by the step up to 1m5.5f at Chelmsford. Should be in need of two miles in due course so sharper trip on return more of a concern than 6lb extra and rise in class.
Veteran on a long losing run dating back to 2014. Returned from some poor runs over hurdles with an excellent second in a similar contest to this, making up late ground after blowing the start. A better getaway can't be certain though.
Still 1lb higher than last winning mark which came in 2017. First run for new stable since leaving Karl Burke and record fresh a concern. Also has failed to convince he stays this far previously. Others preferred.
Turf winner when trained by David Brown, but three AW starts for current handler have seen him finish out of the frame. Dropping to a more favourable mark but probably needs a drop in class.
Two starts for Pascal Bary (cost 25,000 gns in October) and two for current trainer with his best effort coming on debut. However he at least showed improvement from his stable debut last start and is open to more progress.
Forecasts
Ilhabela Fact (11/8), Subliminal (9/2), Continuum (9/2), Houlton (6/1), Rubensian (12/1), Make Good (20/1), Emerald Rocket (20/1)
Ilhabela Fact is in great form at this track and remains on a competitive mark. He's likely to go close again but narrow preference is for RUBENSIAN who has been brought to race fitness over shorter and now gets his trip off an attractive weight. Subliminal is open to more improvement than his rivals and is worth keeping on the right side of.
