Appeared to display a modicum of ability on his bumper debut (was supported early in the day) but failed to totally convince. Once again folded fairly quickly on his hurdle debut in testing conditions at Ffos Las; best watched for now.
Debutante from a powerful jumping yard who displayed some useful form on the Flat in France at up to 1m6f. Both wind came at slightly shorter but he showed that he could handle some cut in the ground; interesting newcomer to this sphere.
Overcame a race run at a crawl to score first-time out in a Southwell bumper and had no easy task following up under a penalty off a break next time. Ran to a fair level when third on hurdles debut (showed promise); should progress again here.
Inexperienced for his bumper debut but caught the eye with his finishing effort once he got the idea of racing. Still looked rough around the edges over hurdles and hasn't (as yet) matched his bumper form; one to bear in mind for handicaps.
Cost not an inconsequential £360,000 after winning on his second point-to-point start by 12L. Started favourite on his bumper debut but flopped badly when favourite; did little better last time after wind op; again dropping away quickly.
Modest in bumper (had also looked a hard ride) she's fared better over hurdles shaping nicely twice with looking remotely dangerous. Needs this run for a handicap mark and given her gradual upbringing she may be one to note in that sphere.
Fairly useful on the Flat as a three-year-old at up to 1m4f she shaped with promise after 27 months away from the track at Wincanton. Looked held in second when falling at the last; winner useful though (won a Listed mares' hurdle next time).
Runner-up on her only Irish point-to-point start (beaten a short-head) she looked in need of the experience and a longer trip on her Rules debut. She was knocked around once held and is likely to do better in time and over further.
Won her sole point-to-point (mares' maiden) by 1L but has shown only limited ability in a bumper and two novice hurdles so far. Would need to take a significant step forward to take a hand in this.
2L winner on her third start in Irish point-to-points but started at 50-1 for her Rules debut at Wincanton (1m7f, good). Looks one for the longer term based on that performance and can only be watched in this.

Trainer Nicky Henderson has a 30% strike-rate with his hurdlers here and DIEU BENISSE gives him a good chance of improving on that percentage. She came down at the last when chasing down multiple Listed winner Posh Trish at Wincanton on Boxing Day and a repeat of that showing (without the fall) will make her hard to beat here. Ashutor is an interesting newcomer who showed good form on the Flat in France and he’s respected along with Genius who showed ability on his one hurdles start so far. Most of the others will be better off in handicaps with two of the most likely projects in that sphere being Go As You Please and Mrsgrey.
