Useful hurdler whose two chase runs have been split by a break and wind surgery. Won at odds-on; fencing debut (small field) before failing in more competitive company last time (form working out well); worth another chance (first-time headgear).
Useful hurdler (last win came off 1lb higher than here) who appeared to take well to fences on his debut. Not bred for this job and may have just picked up the pieces late on at Huntingdon (2m4f); could well need further but looks set to improve.
His form since cheekpieces were added to his usual tongue-tie reads 21141 with his last win coming off a mark of 122. Early gallop last time proved too much in first-time blinkers and he laboured really badly; usual headgear makes a return now.
Hexham novice hurdle winner in June 2017 he was off 17 months after that short odds victory. Went with very little promise when next seen (Aintree, 3m handicap hurdle) and has a stiff task even if he takes to fences on his debut in this sphere.
Plenty of encouragement in his chasing debut at Chepstow (2m, soft); hasn't really fulfilled that early promise yet. Two early departures had him ridden patiently last time (no chance the way the race panned out); capable, comes with risks attached.

Lough Derg Spirit (1/1), Stamp Your Feet (4/1), Oxwich Bay (5/1), Lillington (11/2), Gone Platinum (11/2), Petiville (9/1)
A few ifs and buts in this contest with LOUGH DERG SPIRIT worth another chance to confirm the form he showed on his chasing debut with his Kempton run last time now looking a better effort than it did at the time. Stamp Your Feet has the look of an improving sort over fences and with his rating unchanged he should make an impact. Lillington will need to get into rhythm quicker than he did last time when the early gallop proved too much but he reverts to cheekpieces as the headgear of choice and that should suit him far better. Oxwich Bay was given a confidence boosting outing last time and if that’s worked a more forward display is likely.
