Suited by this sort of trip winning over it for her previous and current trainer (on debut). Holding her form well and only beaten off this mark by a couple of progressive types last time; return to this trip a positive as is excellent conditional.

Yard remain in excellent form highlighted by the win of this one on handicap/stable debut (2m3f, good) at Doncaster. Further progress will be needed off a 4lb higher mark and over further but that can't be ruled out after just four hurdles starts.

Not seen over hurdles since 2017 (winner off this mark); has been chasing since then (0-6 in that sphere). Looked to need the run when returning to action in November when finishing well beaten (early mistake didn't help); something to prove.

Her hurdles record in general isn't a solid one (1-15) the win coming when with Gordon Elliott off a 5lb lower mark. Her last run contributed to her patchy record, failing to build on a sound enough run the time before; on balance best watched.

Yard have been on a good run of late with this one returning top duty over hurdles after falling on her last chase starts (two sound outings over fences before that). Slips down to her lowest mark over hurdles and worthy of respect.

Brought along gradually in novice hurdles and didn't run badly on her second run at that level; back from a break/wind op. Failed to carry on that upward curve on her handicap debut (possibly failed to stay 3m); cheekpieces now added to tongue-tie.

One to keep an eye on having shaped better than her final finishing position last time out (not well placed way things developed); finished just behind Field Exhibition. Still has to put everything together but drops in grade and goes up in distance.

Failed to appreciate the step up to 3m last time and better judged on her previous run over this trip off a 1lb higher mark. Still a maiden though and looks to have work to do with the majority of this field on her form overall.

Forecasts

Field Exhibition (11/4), Longhousesignora (3/1), Annie Bonny (9/2), Diva Du Maquis (11/2), Cara's Way (6/1), Pahaska (14/1), Indian Native (16/1), Mrs Miggins (20/1)

Verdict

Quite a competitive little contest with several that will fancy their chances of winning this if they can repeat their recent form. Field Exhibition would be one of that group with Danny McMenamin taking the ride again after he won on her when she debuted for this yard; a return to this trip will suit her well. CARA’S WAY shaped well on her GB debut and this lightly-raced sort has every chance of following up her Doncaster win; longer trip favours her. This trip and a more positive ride would suit Annie Bonny who remains unexposed over this sort of trip and shaped better than her finishing position last time. Longhousesignora is another one to note off this mark returning to hurdles.

  2. Annie Bonny
